Caitlin told me yesterday "When we walked into the music room we were squeaking with our shoes". This is because we had a monsson blow through town. It poured ALL DAY LONG. All the streets were flooded and our poor swimming pool was overflowing. I had to empty about 1 foot of water out of the pool so it wouldn't burst. I did this in the pouring rain while Caitlin stood inside jamming out to MJ. She Loves Michael Jackson!!!!!!
This week seems like a blur. Caitlin and I have been running around like crazy. I have been on the hunt for the perfect shoes for Caitlin. I thought I already had this covered before school started but all the shoes we bought had "non-slip" felt on the bottom that actually made them extremely slippery!!!!!!!!!!
So, Caitlin and I have been going to multiple stores looking for cheap shoes with rubber on the bottom and they can not be flip flops. Caitlin has probably 20 pairs of flip flops but she is not allowed to wear those to school so every morning I have this battle of what shoes should she wear.
I have gone to two Wal-Marts already (because I got some there last year and she loved them) and I might go to Payless this weekend for BOGO!! Maybe I can find a pair for her and one for me. :)
I didn’t feel like getting out last night to go searching so we Skyped with Aaron, took my friend Kari her new computer (thanks Mom and Jim) and helped her set it up. I had an evil streak and uploaded a few embarrassing photos of Kari on facebook while she was in the other room. It was fine though because when she came back and realized what had happened she belted out one of her infectious laughs that takes over me and makes me laugh just as loud.
When Aaron is out of town I soak up as much Kari time as I can because I don't see her as often when he is here. I end up doing things with him and Caitlin. (I love to be around Aaron but I like to have Kari time every once in awhile). Aaron will be back Saturday and I am sooooo ready for him to be home. We both miss him terribly when he is gone and we always get out of our daily routine. The dogs have even been moping around the house looking everywhere for Aaron.
Aaron come home!!! We miss you!!
