- I am really really behind on posting- we have our annual audits at work and I have been working a lot of extra hours.
- The picture up loader is running at a snail pace and I have nothing better to do than wait for it to finish uploading the pictures I have already selected so I don't have to go through it again.
- I decided I needed a new blog header because Caitlin was wearing a tank top and tutu in the old one. So, I spent forever picking the perfect pictures and font and I uploaded the new header and it was incredibly blurry. So, I thought it was human error and I created a new header. (YES- I CREATED 2 NEW HEADERS). Well, once I uploaded that one- it was also blurry. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I then decided to use the "blogger help" function to figure out what to do. Well, apparently there are a lot of other people having the same issue today. Why did I have to pick today of all days to create a new header??????

Dear blogger... I loathe you today.
I am NOT having a good blogger day.
Kindergarten Christmas
I love my daughter's school!!! The actually get to say the Pledge of Allegiance and have Santa Claus visit (and guess what... they aren't traumatized!!!) This was the first "Class Party" that Caitlin had and all of the room moms that were there were also having a first. Not one of the Moms had an older sibling so we had no idea what was going to happen at the party.
The kiddos all had pizza, juice boxes, and cupcakes.
They had a bean bag toss
and made pipe cleaner candy canes
All of their stockings were hung on the chimney...
I just had to snap a picture of this because it made me proud. (She has actually been able to tie her shoes since she was 4 but I was still excited to see her name up there)
This was her wish list she wrote at school. It says
1. Barbie Dream House
2. Zhu zhu pet
We all had a blast and I can't wait for the valentines day party!!
The Nutcracker Ballet
My fantastic Mom and Step-dad have a tradition that they take Miss Caitlin to see The Nutcracker ballet every year. This was the 3rd year they have taken her to see it and she loves it just as much as she did the first time she saw it.
Caitlin LOVES getting all dressed up. She looks so grown up in this picture.
Poppy, Caitlin, and Grammie
Caitlin has a DVD with a version of the Nutcracker ballet on it and she watches it year round. She also knows ALL of the sings by heart and we always hear her humming them. Poppy and Caitlin often have date nights where they watch the DVD and dance around the house.

Best $2 I have ever spent...
Sometimes it is just the little things that make some one's day.
Yesterday we bought a hula hoop from "The Junk Store" (which is really a store that has target, k-mart and other misc store rejects for sale). We paid $1.99 for this fabulous pink hula hoop and it has kept Caitlin entertained for 2 whole days.
Today I watched her try over and over to get that darn hula hoop to stay up around her waist but it will not!!! She has no hips and no butt whatsoever so this hoop will probably never stay up. The good thing about Caitlin is she will never give up- she is determined to make it work and will not stop until it happens.
Since around the waist is not working quite the way she wants it to, I showed her how to spin the hula hoop on her arm, legs, neck, and how to toss the hoop so it can roll right back to you. . She has only tried the arm and the "toss" but this provided the loudest laughter I have heard in a long time. ***If you know Caitlin then you know that her laugh can be heard from 50 feet away and it is also very contagious.***
The dogs are deathly afraid of this new contraption and would not come anywhere near the living room while we were playing with it. Caitlin was pretty disappointed about the dog's fear because she had BIG PLANS for the dogs to jump through it.
Today was one of those days that we hard the phrase "Mom/Dad, look at me" about every 2 minutes. I LOVE those days because I know that she is extremely proud of herself and she has accomplished something that is important to her (even if it is just getting a hula hoop to spin around her arm).
